Fits Magic, Poke, and similar cards, but was designed primarily as an unofficial accessory for the Solo Player Dungeon Crawler, 2D6 Dungeon, by Toby Lancaster.

Internal width is 73mm to house sleeved cards. The Small Box has a capacity of 100mm, front to back, while the Large Box has a 150mm capacity.

The lid opens flat. It can also be detached, but I don't know the longevity of the hinge pins, since they weren't originally designed for that.

Both the Bottom and Lid have ridges to keep the cards from sliding around. This makes pulling cards and putting them back easier. There exists the potential to damage the edge of a non-sleeved card on these ridges. You must make your own evaluation of risk. If you feel a card has, or will have, monetary value, PUT IT IN A SLEEVE.

Includes two versions:  a Small 100mm Box and a Large 150mm Box.

  • The Small Box is the correct size for a sleeved double-deck, which is a Sleeved "2D6 Dungeon" or Sleeved "2D6 Realm" card set. This is illustrated in photo.
  • The Large Box will fit one of the sleeved double-decks plus the anticipated "2D6 Legendary Dungeon" sleeved single-deck set.
  • The Large Box will fit both non-sleeved double-decks.

========================

Max Print Size -

  • 100mm capacity: 145mm x 79mm x 70mm tall
  • 150mm capacity: 195mm x 79mm x 70mm tall

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The Lid and Bottom are very large parts, and WILL have issues with shrinkage at the corners; especially the Large Box. I experienced about 5mm of minor rounding. Please read up on methods to reduce the risk of an unsatisfactory print. The Large Box Bottom uses over 100g of filament, so know your machine. You may see a line at a  layer in the photos. That is my fault for not setting printer up right.

Box Lid:

Embossing

A design may be embossed in the lid using your slicer software. The illustrated embossing is 0.40mm deep. 2 layers of Black, 5 layers of white (due to translucency), then the rest in gray. Note the 0.4mm nozzle has obvious limitations. This design is available on the drGames website. Try making an ornament or something with the logo to see if it prints nicely for you, first. I also printed one example with multiple filament changes per layer so it was a flush 3-color job. I think you'd need to use Blender or the like, at greater effort to replicate that. I also had to make the logo bigger due to .4mm nozzle.

Supports are needed for the hinge pins and the latch slot. A regular grid works well.

  • 0.20mm Layer Height recommended.
  • 2 Wall Loops HIGHLY Recommended. 3 is a waste of time and a LOT of filament. I printed either the lid or the bottom with 3, and can't tell which, holding them here in my hand.
  • 10% Infill
  • Enable Supports at 30 deg. regular grid
  • Brim Not Recommended

Box Bottom:

Use Tree supports.

If you use regular grid support, the supports for the hinge holes may fail, because they are super-thin and tall. If it fails, it'll leave little tentacles that are easy to clip off after the print is done. Do not stop the print for this. It would be a waste of filament, and the support will fix itself inside the hinge-hole. If you can make slicer start the support inside the hole, and skip the spindly tower, that would be best.

The slot for the latch also needs support.

  • 0.20mm Layer Height recommended.
  • 2 Wall Loops HIGHLY Recommended.
  • 10% Infill
  • Enable Supports at 30 deg. Tree(auto)
  • Brim Not Recommended

Dividers: (Print 10 or more as desired)

You may choose from center-tabbed, or edge-tabbed. If you want a nice finish on the front of alternating edge-tabs, or want to emboss text, flip half the edge-tabbed Dividers. Tabs are sized to fit 6mm (1/4") label tape up to 16mm long if you have a label-maker.

The Dividers are modelled at 1mm thick. This is excessive, but may be useful if you wish to emboss levels or text on tabs. If you don't need that thickness, and I doubt you do, you can cut them down to 0.60mm in the slicer as illustrated. If you have adaptive leveling on your print-bed, you may try 3 layers at 0.12mm for an ultra-thin 0.36mm divider.

  • 0.20mm Layer Height recommended.
  • Brim Not Recommended

Latch:

Must be printed with either right or left side on the build-plate, as illustrated, to endure the strain that is applied during opening and closing the lid.

  • 0.20mm Layer Height recommended.
  • 3 Wall Loops
  • Brim Recommended

Use a drop or two of glue on inside of lid, as illustrated, to affix latch after testing for function.
