Spike is removable as with time the spike will wear down with time. I recommend using 100% infill for the spike as otherwise it can break while screwing it into the bowl. Other than that I used .2 layer height and had no issues with the threading other than it was a bit stiff the first time screwing into the bowl, may need to carefully use pliers the first time. You can also use a variable layer height to do smaller layers for the threading, I've attached a project file with that set up.
