I got the idea from @arnmac's monitor stand (https://www.printables.com/model/151648-asus-mb169b-monitor-stand). Looking at that model I was struck by the fact that the monitor's center of gravity shifted as the monitor was moved to the various angles. I don't really think there is an issue with the stability of that model but it seemed that it would be an ‘improvement’ to arrange the slots such that the monitor's center of gravity was always above the center of the stands. It was more of an experiment in design.

To be honest, there is still room for improvement with this model. I included slots for 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, and 45°. The 0° slot causes the screen to lean slightly forward due to the beveled case of the monitor. The 45° I think is too much. So, I'm unlikely to use either. But this stand served it's purpose when i forgot to bring my normal store-bought stand on a recent trip.

But I will upload it here to hopefully garner some feedback and maybe inspire someone to build another similar design. For example, I thought about using the ‘back’ side of the stand for 5°, 15°, 25°, and 35° slots to allow even more choices. Let me know what you think.

You will need to print two (or more if you want). There is no need to mirror the stand unless you're using a textured plate and want to have the outside (or inside) edges match.
