I made my individual tray and found they still tipped over too easily, and I wasn't going to be able to make them less tippy without sacrificing the necessary properties of the individual tray. The solution was: more of them. This one is super solid, very wide footprint, quite a lot of it's own mass. It's also at work full of screws right now so I'll try to get a real photo next week.
The individual bin still wasn't that easy to get parts out of, so I opted for a smoother design to further reduce the edge between the bottom and the walls, and the back wall of each bin is slanted in a bit, eliminating the final 90 degree angle. The “spout” has a dip, this was supposed to make it even easier to get the screws out, it didn't really matter. And beyond that I just went ham on curves for no reason.
I use both now, I keep my bulk M2x5s, M2x2s, etc, a keyboard dongle, in the multitray and weird stuff or stuff I'm going to immediately put back into the laptop in individuals. Being able to immediately unhand screws while removing a dozen of them from a laptop really makes it faster and less error prone.
