Made these to help motivate my kids with their evening tasks which would take a log of nagging and time wasting usually.
Ended up making these tokens which have an NFC sticker in the back. Printed a cover on the wall for the NFC reader which is connected to Home Assistant.
Placing the token on the reader, will trigger a sequence where a mounted dashboard will display an image associated with the task for each kid that marks it as completed as well as trigger a funny acknowledgment of completion through an integration with OpenAI with a custom prompt for each kid.
Bottom line, now they can't wait to complete each task so that they can scan the token and track and listen to the feedback :)

I created a very simple mount to cover up the components if placing it on the wall.
For NFC stickers, they are 25mm and can be found for very cheap.
Currently made 5 different tokens for:
- Brushing Teeth
- Showering
- Cleaning up room
- Preparing clothes
- Organizing bag
