Page 28iS/U-12 of the Vans RV12 build manual (page date 2019-08-26) calls for a line to be marked around the wing root 4.8mm (3/16") from the fuselage for trimming to, and a line to be marked on the fuselage 4/8mm above and below the wing surface to align the edge of the VA-204 seal strip. This model is designed to accept a fine-tip Stabilo Write-4-all marker pen and hold the tip 4.8mm from the flat surface on the bottom. Print with 0.2mm layer height.
Printers and pens vary, so before use check that the distance from base to pen tip is close enough to the required 4.8mm.
