Through the bizarre combination of having access to a laser cutter but only a small 3D printer, I have designed and produced a minimalistic yet bold showcase of the Framework Mainboard. This case features space for a Wi-Fi card and antennas*, two slots for framework expansion cards** and a decorative gemstone patterned fan intake***.
* Antennas just about have enough clearance to slide the mainboard in.
** I cannot guarantee that the slots are perfectly sized as I have no cards.
*** The storage and RAM shall simply suffer.
I made this as a practice piece with makerspace equipment. It took 9 versions and 3 attempted outputs trimming down all of the bloat and excess to finally arrive at this design, which admittedly has a few flaws still. It's been serving well as a little home server for 9 months collecting dust in the corner of my room. Then imagine my surprise that there's a contest on this exact topic.
