Decorative snowflakes
- Ideal for decorating your printer, computer, walls, ceilings…
- Use blue-tack, hot glue, double sided tape or similar to attach
Warnings and tips
- This is a difficult print! You need good bed adhesion and a well calibrated first layer to make it work.
- Because of the aforementioned bed adhesion, the snowflakes will be extremely difficult to remove intact. You need patience and a sharp and flexible spatula.
- Some of the snowflakes work better than others for scaling down.
AI Generation Workflow
- The snowflakes are generated using the FLUX.1-dev image generation model. Details: https://huggingface.co/black-forest-labs/FLUX.1-dev
- I have not found a prompt that would give consistently good results, but things like vector, icon style, sharp contrasts, black on white works good enough. I just queue up a bunch and maybe one in ten will be usable.
- Use some software to convert the generated image to SVG (vector image), the Trace Bitmap tool in Inkscape ( https://inkscape.org/ ) is fantastic for this.
- Most CAD software (like Autodesk Fusion) can import SVG.
