this miniature version of the PRUSA SL1S is a nutcracker as a special gift for your loved ones. You can crack different types of nuts right inside the tray and simple remove the tray afterwards.

for different sizes of nuts I consider to work on optional “supportinsert_back” pieces, where there is a different height of the pivet point, which brings the “plattform” itself up or down.

You'll need:

(besides the printed parts)

  • 1x metal pin ⌀10x60
  • 2x cyl. head bolts M3x20
  • 1x star knob M6 (alternative: 1x star head bolt M6x40)
  • 1x hex. head bolt M6x40 (alternative: 1x hex. nut M6)

Feedback:

most parts are meant to be printed in PLA, however I consider the “plattform_lever”, “supportinsert_back” and “plattform” to be printed in PETG or a even stronger material

after printing the parts, it turned out when trying to crack a walnut the “lever” already bends. So a stronger material or higher infill/wall thickness is necessary.

also the pivot point of the current “supportinsert_back” only allows to insert peanuts or hazlenuts. the walnut was already resting against both sides ("tray" and “plattform”). So I'll work on a second version of the “supportinsert_back” to have a higher pivot point which is able to insert bigger nuts.
