This is a small diamond-shaped box with a central slot in which you can keep a ring (for example, for a marriage proposal). The two halves snap together using 3 mm ball-shaped magnets, which you push into the holes. Just make sure the magnets can move freely inside the holes, so that they can reorient themselves.
