I teach touch typing to 500+ elementary students and needed to find something to cover their hands while they are typing. I saw the original brackets and changed the dimensions to work for my project. It works great and has helped a lot of my students significantly.
The board that I used is 17 x 8 x ¾ inches, with rounded edges to keep clothing snags and such to a minimum.
