Why not make a camera strap.  Take a 1" wide piece of 2.5mm thick webbing/biothane, sew on the holder and then use some cordless 550 paracord in the puck, to give yourself, a Peak Design inspired quick release system.

Rather than a spring clip, mine makes use of small bumps inside the holder so the puck clicks in place, access to both sides allowing you to pull it out.  A legitimate peak design anchor may fit - I don't have any so I don't know.

I've included bare versions of the holder/strap end and puck so you can play around with different fixing methods.  2mm holes are probably too big, and it might make more sense to rivet it to the strap instead.  Take the “bare” version, play around with boolean operators and report back what works.

In the photo I've just tied a loop of paracord with a “double Fishermans knot” (https://www.animatedknots.com) but any “bend” knot should do.  If you want to be fancy you could do a long buried splice on the end through he puck, and tie the other on your camera using an “end loop” like the “poacher's knot”/“surgeons loop”

Not tested yet (waiting for my webbing to arrive), and no guarantee of strength is made or implied.  If you use this make sure you test your completed strap.

I printed with 70% infill, 4 walls and tree supports - seems to work well, though needs some cleanup
