Compatibility
- The 30gb gen 5 / Video adapter is compatible with the thin back Gen 6/7
- The 60gb gen 5 / Video adapter is compatible with the thick back Gen 6
- The thin back gen 4 adapter is compatible with the thin back gen 3
- The thick back gen 4 / Photo is compatible with the thick back gen 3
- The nano dock is made for the gen 1 Nano
- The shuffle dock is made for the gen 1 shuffle
None of these docks are compatible with any iPhone, or iPod Touch models

Now, onto the dock revisions. There are 3 main models of dock, with 3 sub-models for the first 2 revisions, and 1 sub-model for the last revision.
Revision 1 (MA045G) - This is the original universal dock, it comes without the remote, has an s-video port, and has firewire support.
MA045G/A (and MA045G/B)- comes with adapters: 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
MA045G/B - appears to just be a box variation of MA045G/A, comes with identical adapters.
MA045G/C - comes with adapters 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. This is the only dock to come with adapters 8 and 11
Revision 2 (MB125G) - This version of the dock drops the s-video port and firewire support, and adds the 1st gen (plastic) apple remote, and redesigns the case with a smaller IR window.
MB125G/A - comes with adapters 9, 10, 12, 13, and 14
MB125G/B - comes with adapters 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17
MB125G/C - comes with adapters 9, 15, 16, 17, and 18
Revision 3 (MC746LL) - The final revision looks the same as the second, but switches the 1st gen apple remote (plastic) for the 2nd gen (aluminum). This revision also allegedly has more connection issues compared to previous versions
MC746LL/A - comes with adapters 15, 16, 18, 19, and 20. This is the only dock to come with adapters 19 and 20
