Assembly Instructions:
- The printed components are designed for easy assembly. Most parts can be tightly fitted together by gently tapping them with a hammer.
- A small amount of superglue is required for assembly at one specific point.
- Some parts of the design will need to be printed multiple times to complete the structure.
Materials and Additional Requirements:
- The design requires additional 2mm-thick plexiglass, which must be manually cut into the following sizes:
- 3 pieces of 87.5mm x 95mm
- 2 pieces of 71mm x 71mm
- 1 piece of 87.5mm x 66mm
Connector Specifications:
- The connector holes have an inner diameter of 9mm and an outer diameter of 12mm.
Functionality:
The design includes three separate access points, offering flexible use as an addition to a formicarium system, such as for feeding or maintaining specific conditions.
Notes:
- Drying Time: When applying glue, ensure that the fumes do not come into contact with the ants or their environment. Allow the glue to dry completely in a well-ventilated area before assembling the formicarium with other modules or introducing it to the colony.
- Usage: This formicarium is designed exclusively as a modular expansion and should not be used as a standalone habitat for an ant colony.
