Started with a small-ish box using the Rugged Box (Parametric) referenced and modified it to add a couple insert options (single or dual hearing aids) and a compartment in the lid to hold batteries, and possibly maintenance items like small cleaning brushes, etc.
Started this for a friend who works out of camps regularly and wanted to have a larger volume of desiccant than generally available options and be able to toss the case in their bag and not have it get wrecked. I made two insert options after that as I wanted to use it as well and need a dual hearing aid box.
The storage compartment wall is not built print-in-place as handling supports and keeping it looking good was problematic. I suggest running a bead of gel consistency cyanoacrylate glue around the ledge for the wall and just press it in place.
The storage compartment has a door which can be held closed with small rubber bands or an O-ring of suitable size. I just had some silicone o-rings I used, will measure those and provide dimensions. The bands are not really needed for a while as if your printer tolerances are good the fit is snug until the hinges wear in a bit. I also suggest placing the door on the hinges prior to gluing the wall on, just easier with more room for your fingers.
Require Qty 6 of 30mm M3 screws for hinges and clasps, for looks I recommend using button head screws.
The insert has a screw-on base to make it less likely that desiccant gets spilled all over when opening. This currently is sized for M2.5 heat set inserts and you can use Qty 6 of M2.5x8mm screws to hold things down.
