Hanging enclosure for small DC motor driven by a small solar panel mounted atop the enclosure. you can find similar designs on Amazon, however i found all to be cheaply made, turned way too fast for a suncatcher and poor quality plastic gears didn't hold up.
with this setup, no switches are required except sunlight, and the bottom cap gives the low speed DC motor drive system additional reinforcement for vertical stress of hanging objects.
