This model is a remix based on Nick Johnson’s Clamshell Parts Box, which itself remixes Josh-3D’s Small Parts Storage Box.

The original clamshell mechanism and overall design remain largely unchanged. I chose Nick Johnson’s version for its completeness and ease of modification.
My contribution focuses on adding internal compartments and divider layouts to create a versatile storage solution suitable for many different applications.
This modular approach allows me to generate clamshell boxes adapted to a wide range of organization needs.
For the moment, the system is based on two main box sizes:
70×70×25 mm
140×70×25 mm (double width)
While expanding the internal layouts, the original design philosophy is preserved::
Print-in-place hinge (no supports required)
Label area for a 40×14 mm tag.
Lid catch and stable feet for vertical or flat storage.
📦 65+ divider layout variations are currently included, covering many common storage use cases.
All versions include both STL and STEP files, as well as:
Nick Johnson’s original Fusion 360 source file.
My updated Fusion 360 project containing all divider layouts and grid separation structures for both box sizes.
