This tamper is designed to tamp the screen directly into the puck. Place the screen on top of the loose coffee grounds in the basket, then use this to tamp the stack. The file has internal holes in the top, which should increase strength. 2 walls should be plenty strong.
It fits my screen with the silicone nub, and may or may not fit the original screen design with the metal nub.
