This is a 30cm knitting loom system I designed in Blender as a gift. It will print in place as one solid piece. Have a look at my print settings if you want to avoid layer delamination at the base of the pins.

I designed the pins to be as strong as possible with the constraint that I wanted to print this loom as one solid piece.

There is a little groove in each pins (excepted for the 2 end pins) allowing you to slide in your knitting hook in it.

Also considering the size of this loom it might be tricky to print it on your printer. I have printed it on my Alfawise U30 and the bed size is 22*22 cm. I had to place my model in diagonal in order to be able to print it.

You'll need to have a perfectly flat bed if you try to print this model and might need a raft. Personnaly I used a custom one, just for the end pins, included in the model because the one generated in cura would exceed the build area of my printer.

Print Settings

Printer:

Alfawise u30

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

**Supports:**

No

Resolution:

0.2 mm layer height

**Infill:**

50

Filament: Wanhao PLA Brown

Notes:

To avoid the pins to break down you might want to set a high value for the shell width. Mine was set to 2 mm and in that way, the pins are almost completly filled with solid material.
Also, it is a good idea to use a 3D infill to avoid any deformation of the piece, I used a cubic infill in Cura.
I also printed it at 210 degrees to have a better layer to layer adhesion.
I've printed this really slow (40mm/s) and it took roughly 12 hours and about 90 gramms of PLA (29 meters of filament).
