Inspired by Kozmickid's Celtic knot routing templates, which use a triangle shaped template to produce a three-sided knot, I created a four sided version of a different knot.
Print one template and four holders (corner braces).
Place the template where you want the routed shape. Place holders at each of the four corners and use double sided tape to clamp the holder in place. Rout out the shapes using an inlay set or appropriate router bushing. I used a 2/7 diameter bushing and a 1/8 diameter bit in trim router.
Rotate the template 90 degrees and repeat. Rout each shape 4 times in total. Easy.
I may add some more knot templates as I create them.
