The Bell 47 is a single-rotor, light helicopter first introduced in 1946 by Bell Aircraft Corporation. It was the first helicopter certified for civilian use in the United States and became an icon of aviation history. Designed by Arthur M. Young, the Bell 47 is known for its bubble-shaped cockpit, exposed tail boom, and robust construction. Widely used for medical evacuation, agricultural work, and as a training helicopter, it also gained fame in popular culture, particularly in the TV series MASH. Its reliability and versatility made it a significant milestone in rotorcraft development.
Printing Info
There are two versions you can print, one and without a sprue. If you have problems with the rotating rotor or you dont like it, there is also a fixed version under “seperate”. You can also print all parts seperatly. Happy printing!
Building Info
When you print the not-fixed version, the rotor might be stuck initially. Attach it to the fuselage and then wiggle carefully back and forth till its loose.
