This 3D model represents a geodesic print head cover composed of triangular facets, creating an intricate triangular shape. The design features four mounting nodes around the perimeter, allowing for easy attachment. Whether for educational purposes or as a decorative piece, this geodesic cover showcases both geometric precision and aesthetic appeal.
I’ve included a photo of the print settings. I chose 4 walls to make the mounting clips/nodes stronger and prevent them from snapping off when clipping into place. The model can be printed standing up or lying on its face. If printing on its face, I recommend using supports (as shown in the picture) for the arms to achieve a smoother finish. I printed one in glow-in-the-dark filament for a cool effect, but it can be printed in any filament. I used PETG and PLA.
