Important Information:

This version is an improvement I made to my original design to correct the incorrect Z probe offset and bed plate calculations. These errors were caused by an issue with the "All in one cable," which forced the print head upwards and caused the mesh process to fail. (Get incorrected values - see more here)

I have attached a video in order to show you all the issue this version solve considering the right side of printhead is not affected for this issue.

Artillery Hornet BL Touch Mount

Introducing my latest BL Touch mount tailored for the Artillery Hornet. This meticulously crafted design, constructed to be compatible with this Artillery Hornet Fan Duct.

Required Configuration & BL Touch

Configuration Files (Marlin Marlin-2.1.2.5 Compatible):

In the following link, You must be able to find both the configuration.h and configuration_adv.h files I have used to compile the Marlin 2.1.2.5 version for my Artillery Hornet.

In this files, you should see the current the required configuration for NOZZLE_TO_PROBE_OFFSET, my current values are:

{ -26.42, -35.80, -3 }

BL Touch:

The sensor came with the following cable color distribution, at least the one I have bought, This one.

  1. GND (Brown)
  2. VCC (Red)
  3. Servo PWM (Yellow)
  4. GND (Black)
  5. Sense (White)

So, in order to connect this BL Touch to our Artillery Hornet 3D printer, you must connect it in the following order into the Hornet Z Probe Connector:

  1. (Brown) -
  2. (Red) +
  3. (White) P
  4. (Black) -
  5. (Yellow) S

Having said that, you MUST change the yellow and white cables in the Hornet connector compared to the BLTouch connector.

Additionally, this new version add more capabilities to your Artillery Hornet printer like:

  •  “Resume previous print” in case a power outage.
  • The “XY_PROBE_FEEDRATE” has been increased to allow the  X and Y axis travel speed (mm/min) between probes.
  • The number of grid points per dimension has been increased to 7. This change is intended to provided a better mesh and better first layers

I will add an X linear guide to improve the general quality and avoid motor to work harder. Keep you posted on this future implementation.
