The Mil Mi-26 is a Soviet-designed heavy transport helicopter that remains one of the largest and most powerful helicopters ever built. First introduced in 1983, it was developed by the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant to fulfill roles requiring the transport of massive loads. With a payload capacity of up to 20 tons, it is often used for carrying oversized equipment, disaster relief, and even recovering other aircraft. The Mi-26 features an eight-blade rotor system and is powered by two D-136 turboshaft engines, enabling it to operate in a variety of environments, from rugged terrains to urban areas. Its versatility and lifting capabilities have made it an iconic workhorse in both military and civilian aviation.

Printing Info

There are two versions you can print, one and without a sprue. Since the main rotor is quite big, you have to print it seperatly. There is a sprue model for the rotating and the fixed rotor. You can also print all parts seperatly. Happy printing!

Building Info

When you print the not-fixed version, the rotor might be stuck initially. Attach it to the fuselage and then wiggle carefully back and forth till its loose.
