This is a nest for storing adder weights for a PowerBlock weight system. I designed this for a friend who has a Rogue brand weight cart for his PowerBlocks weights. His adder weights didn't have a secure place to rest while unused. I looked around at the printable options and wasn't happy with the available designs. This was the result of re-thinking the overall design to be more than simply a block with holes in it. I sized it to barely fit horizontally across the bed of my Prusa MK4S printer. I used a very gentle fuzzy skin (on outside only) and .28mm draft profile to get a reasonably fast print with a nice outer finish. I also used an infill modifier to solidify the spaces under the weights so that they wouldn't compress and fail over time with weights being dropped in. The second file is for little feet to be printed from TPU that you can glue into the recesses underneath to provide a bit more grippy surface. My first iteration of this model was much narrower. *You can see this version in the included photos. The model has been updated to make it much wider, with more contact feet, including slots for the TPU feet located directly under each weight slot.
The Rogue cart that this was designed for has a 12 deg angle on the top, so I designed this nest to sit at that angle, and hold the weights vertically when used in the correct orientation, with the lower edge against the edge stop of the cart. The steps allow you to more easily find the available slots, and the slight chamfered curve above each slot should help guide the weights into place easily. Please let me know if you have any suggestions and I might be able to provide alternate or modified files. I forgot to take photos before shipping the first version to my friend, so I only have the *two pictures that he sent, which unfortunately don't show the part well.
*The model/slicer images show the updated design (v.4), but the photos depict the previous (much narrower) version.
