Bald Eagle Skull

This is a Bald Eagle skull model that I found on Thingiverse by MacEwanBiology.

Printing this model may look intimidating, but it's pretty easy when following these steps:

• Keeping the original model orientation is recommended

• Add tree supports at 25 degrees

• Once those supports are added, go back and add supports behind the two weird "branches"  (I don't know the proper name) inside the skull. You can do this by setting the overhang angle to 73 degrees and use the “fill” feature to quickly paint them on manually, or you can just manually paint them as you like.

The model in the slicer should look something like this:

These are the print settings I like to go by:

• 0% infill

• 3 perimeters

• 0.16mm layer height

• Bald Eagles are believed to live up to 30 years in the wild

• Bald Eagles will mate for life and will often return to the same nest every year, making additions to it

• Bald Eagles are the 3rd largest Eagle in the world with a wingspan reaching up to 8ft (2.4m)
