This is a remix of Peter's Sim card travel case - I just made it thicker so it can hold some needle and threads for your emergency needle work need.
There is a hole for 6x1mm magnets - to keep the needle from flying out too easily.
I just cut a card stock with a bunch of notches and put threads in, place a few needle and safety pins, some tiny buttons.. those normal stuff you see in the emergency sewing kit.
Of course you need to provide all of these actual sewing tool part. This print only provide the plastic case.
Print the outer shell upright, use vase mode with a wide brim. I recommend to print the outside shell with transparent filament - either PLA or PETG should work well in vase mode.
When removing the shell, be sure to use a scraper to remove from the brim - vace mode has only 1 line in width, you don't want to break it in the middle.
If the fit is too tight, just size the shell slightly larger - 1% at a time. You don't want it to be too tight so when you open things fly out, and you don't want it to be too loose either. Every printer is still somewhat different, experiment a little to get the right fit.
Make a couple and throw one in each of your bag.. you don't know when you will rip your pant!
