I bought a Trex Enhance railing kit, which is a nice composite railing system, but is designed to mount to a 4x4 wooden post. I was mounting it to a 1.5 inch metal post, and the included brackets would not work. So I designed these endcaps that hold captive ¼-20 nuts. There are three versions - they all fit on the Trex system, but one has holes for vertical mounting, one for horizontal mounting, and one has both sets of holes. Also included is a template for marking out the holes for drilling, as well as a 12mm spacer, because I had cut my bottom piece too short. If you need a spacer, you could make it any thickness by scaling just the z axis.

I printed this in PETG with a .06 nozzle on my X1C. ABS/ASA would work well, too. I don't recommend using PLA. No support required. Add a pause to insert the nuts.
