I originally designed this model in Blender for my bow tie loving husband. Since then, I have printed it frequently and in many color combinations.  On the back of the bowtie, there is a slot where you can fit it over the top button of a dress shirt.  There are also slits where you can attach it to a bowtie strap. I used to make my own bowtie straps using a 3/4" ribbon, bowtie hardware, and a glue gun.

This model lends itself well to color swaps. In recent years, I am typically printing this bowtie in 3 or 5 different colors.

I typically print it in 0.20mm layer heights. Back when I started printing this designed, I used Grid (Normal) Supports.  In recent years I have found the design works well with Organic (Tree) Supports. Regardless of which type of supports you use, I recommend using Support Blockers on the inside of the attachment piece. Sometimes I choose to sink the bowtie 0.5mm for a slightly increased footprint on the bed.

Nowadays I used Organic/Tree Supports

But for years I just used the standard Grid Supports for just the bottom. The top of the Bow Tie I used to print without supports but made sure I was using a "Travel Lift" or "Z-hop" in case there was curling.

I do recommend adding a Support Blocker in the inside of our attachment piece at the back of the bow tie.

Sometimes I sink the model by 0.5mm for a better footprint on the bed.
