I like to have a ruler on hand at my desk but I just have a flat top desk (no drawers). I created a quick and simple holder for my ruler. This allows me to mount the ruler under the desk to get it out of the way but to also have it for immediate use. you could also use this if you have a desk with drawers and follow Adam Savages concept of First order retrievability.

This is just a quick fix to a simple problem not intended to be seen. so its not super fancy. It includes chamfered edges on the opening for ease of use and can accommodate rulers up to 32mm wide and 4mm thick. The holder is intended to be mounted to a surface using a double stick foam type mounting tape like command strips.

The holder can be printed in a single piece on a 256mm x 256mm plate but it will take up 90% of the diagonal of the build plate.  I printed mine with 3 walls at 25% infill.

I'm also adding the fusion file for you to modify to suit your needs or just a want to build on to the holder. Since I made this as a solution to a niche problem feel free to do what you want with the file I'm making this public domain.
