Sits nicely in either orientation, retained just with the tapered angular edges on the inside.
If anyone finds this useful but isn't happy with how securely it's held, leave a comment and I'll update to add some tapered fingers to hang on better.
Print it upright with tree supports for the securing hooks, should be fine without a brim.
