This was designed to hold my stainless mesh coffee filters when not in use (see photos). It is threaded, so it doesn't easily slip apart. The inner diameter is 76mm, the length is approximately 450mm with both parts together. After diligently cleaning the threads, I found the best lube for the threads was coconut oil. This will help you to screw/unscrew this without locking them from being too dry. Please don't try to work the threads without lube.
