This is my version of a copy stand light source. There are two slots above the light which are meant for one clear 2mm piece of glass (TOP) and one which is ground glass(BTM). I used this light source from Amazon. It works well. I used electrical tape to hold the base feet and the light housing together. This way it can be taken apart if need be. Supports will be need for some of the pieces of this device. I didn't make a 35mm or 6x6 neg carriers because I used some scanning neg carriers I already had on hand. You can easily make or adapt these carriers from sources that you find online.
