I designed this velocity stack for a Bitaxe. This has increased my cooling by ~2C and lowered my fan RPMs by ~400.
A velocity stack is designed to allow smooth and even entry of air at high velocities into the fan with the flow stream adhering to the pipe walls known as laminar flow.
This is for the stock 40mm fan that my Bitaxe Gamma came with. This slides on from the side so no hardware is required.
Print with no supports in the orientation the file is provided in (bell side down).
