I needed a double bypass door for a weird space in my house where french doors wouldn't work. I wanted the first slab to pull out the second, and also push it in. Without a guide, the doors would swing laterally, and bang into the frame when closing. Now they just work.
The door guide attaches to one door, the cleats to the other, one on each end. The wings on the cleats are to center them when screwing in, and snap off after. My doors are 7/8 in thick. I recommend printing the guide on its side, so the door is ramming into a stack of layers, rather than along a sheer line; but ultimately you do you.
I've included the fusion file if you wanted to make a wider version. Just change the “door_width” parameter to whatever you need.
You could probably skip the cleats and use this for normal closet doors too, and save yourself from attaching a guide to the floor. I haven't tried that yet.
Unrelated to the model, I used spare PTFE tube as a door stopper by drilling a 4mm hole in the rails and sliding it in.
