This is significantly easier to print than the stock air guide module. It also allows for quick testing of air duct designs.
With the little amount of testing I did the air duct I included seems to perform better than the stock cooling, but that is only with the bambu labs hotend that I use. I cannot speak on how effective it is for the stock hotend, but it is compatible and should be at the very least on par with the stock air guide.
I have also included the fusion 360 files for anybody who would like to design their own ducts.
You will need M3x8 screws and M3 threaded inserts specifically M3*5.7*4.6
You will also need to reuse the screws for the 3010 blower fans that were mounted on your stock air guide module to mount them to this module.
Recommended Print settings:
- Material: Temperature resistant (ABS, ASA, etc)
- Nozzle size: 0.4mm
- Layer height: 0.2mm for air guide module, and 0.15mm for the air ducts
- Infill: 20% rectilinear
- Supports: required (I used snug supports with rectilinear interlaced interface)
