Since the optical viewer went up for auction I had the opportunity to view detailed photos of the actual prop. Whilst this is a modification of the excellent JonaThon/Empiricus model, it includes the monocular mod and is therefore still not 100% screen accurate. I did add room for switches as I wanted to include a Heads Up Display for the right eye.
You'll need to follow the instructions on Instructables and provide machine screws/ handle strap/ 3mm acrylic for the glazed sections etc
If you want to add electronics, you'll need to add a red ring led to the right front lens and there are two holes for led's on the back plate (I added a green and a flashing red to these). A HUD can be fitted using a 40mm Prism OLED screen MPU 6050 Gyroscope and ESP32 board (instructions NOT included)
