At first I tried to perform the scan using the original HP Scan 5 software, although to lackluster noisy results. It took me some time to prepare a correct calibration panel for the other scanning software available - FlexScan3D, with which I was able to successfully capture the benchy.
I used the 2mm square size calibration board for this scan, half projector brightness, no spraying, F4 aperture and 1/30s exposure, also an automatic turntable was used for moving the benchy.
The scan consists of 5 merges of 140 frames in total, each frame took about 3 seconds to scan but double that for processing on my laptop with no discrete graphics (HP Scan in that regard was much quicker). The scan took in total close to an hour with the longest being the processing times, inside of HP Scan it was closer to 20 minutes.
