This parametric rod flange is able to fit any rod you throw at it, just make sure to fasten it securely and bump up those perimeter numbers.

Features!

  • Countersunk holes (90°), specify any size like 4mm for M4 (and so on…), the model adds 0.5mm for tolerance.
  • Specify the diameter of the rod, the model adds 0.5mm for tolerance
  • Chamfered and filleted edge on the tube to provide a strong model
  • Rounded shapes and chamfered edges for easier printing

Parametric

I have provided a few example rod flanges, but you will most likely have different specifications for the rod flanges you need.

Just load up the included .f3d file in Autodesk Fusion 360, change the parameters according to your needs.

You can also ask in the comments for a specific size, then ill upload the .stl.

Parameters

You find the parameters in the “Modify” dropdown in the toolbar, then select “Change parameter” in the bottom. Then change the value in the “Expression” column, click “OK” and the model updates after a few seconds, export a new .stl file and happy printing

Print settings

Model is optimized for printing, no need for supports or brims.

I recommend a high number of perimeters and shell layers for added strength.

Shell

Top: ≥5

Recommend ≥30% for strength

Options

I had great success with enabling:

“Avoid crossing perimeters”

“Automatic infill combination”
