I love HSW but was finding it hard to fit nicely with the jagged edges, so enter BSW, the boring rectangular option!

This started as a copy of HSW, but with square sockets. Eventually things diverged a bit so that the panels were symmetric (both in 90 degree rotations and back to front). This is still a work in progress, but the panel and plug shapes are solidified now.

Main goals:

  • panels easily fit in existing environments (up against flat walls and such)
  • simple to mix and match panels in any orientation
  • align with Gridfinity bins and shelves (BSW is 21mm, half of Gridfinity's 42mm unit)
  • create 3d shapes and shelves

I've been printing the panels and plugs with 3 walls and .2mm layer height in PLA. The first things on the TODO list are some wall mount inserts, basic peg-board like hooks, and shelves. I would have done these before making the corner connectors, but my friend took that and ran and discovered all the cool crates and shelves that can be made from it, and I couldn't help try it out.

Feel free to check out the source code on Github. Enjoy!
