Has a cat ever pulled on your curtain until the fabric tore out of the ring? Can't get the curtain ring to go back on and don't know where to find replacements? Try a Snap-On Curtain Ring!

Was asked to help repair a curtain rod that had a ring tear out. Original rings were a thin metal that was folded/crimped down over a fabric material, which this “Snap-On” design tries to match. Added small notch features for ease of assembly/removal and kept the profiles flat for printability.

Depending on the extent of the damage, choose from one of five different sizes that have been provided to try and cover up the frayed fabric: Size 1 = 62mm OD, Size 2 = 67 mm OD, Size 3 = 72mm OD, Size 4 = 77mm OD Size 5 = 82mm OD. All sizes have a 38mm inner diameter.

{side note 1: depending on how bad the tear is, you may need to repair/reinforce the fabric before putting on a replacement ring}

Made with eSun White PETG, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.16mm layer height, solid with no infill (4 wall loops, 3 bottom shell layers, 3 top shell layers). Can be made with about 10 grams of material or less.

Both pieces can be printed on the large, flat side (tree supports recommended for steep overhang portion of Bottom Ring). When assembling, the bump on the Top Ring is intended to face outward, facing the same way as the Bottom Ring snaps (see images for reference)

{side note 2: didn't have any black filament at the time to match the color of these rings, but the plan is to eventually paint the parts}
