This model, inspired by the @KT3Dprint (Flat mouse bookmark by KT3Dprint | Download free STL model | Printables.com) flat mouse bookmarker, consists of 2 to 4 parts. The body, the beak, the eye and the pupil. However the beak and pupil are optional, these can all be printed in one part with the Bird_full and the Full_eye respectively.
Print instructions
Printer: Printed with an ender 3 v2 Neo on a 0.4 mm nozzle
Layer height: 0.2 mm layer height
Supports: Not needed
Assembly: Snap fit (glue recommended if given to small children), recommended to not put the eyes in until pupils are fitted
Material: PLA (I used PETG for body and beak, because of available colors)
Orientation: All models can be printed on their flat side, including the eyes and pupils.
It is recommended that all parts are printed without a brim, which will work if you slow down the print a lot for the eye, pupil and beak. I used around 30% of the standard speed, so around 20 mm/s. Since these are all very small prints the additional time will still be minimal. This is due to the parts being snap fit and otherwise being a bit harder to fit in. I pressed the beak in by carefully giving some extra force with pliers. For the eye and pupil I started by hand and got it in its final position by pressing it on the table.
