I have created a small tool for playing games like Dungeons and Dragons or generating a maze (in regular square grid). The game die consists of three parts – a solid core die and two outer shell pieces. There is no need to glue the parts together; they should snap into place nicely and hold firmly.
A size of 20x20 mm works well for me, and the STL file is prepared for printing at this size. I haven’t tested smaller versions.
Print without supports. The inner die should be printed with at least 15% infill, but the higher infill percentage, the heavier it will be, providing a better feel in hand. For better results, I recommend a layer height of 0.1 mm. Printing takes approximately 40 minutes, depending on the exact settings and printer. Tested on a Prusa Mini with a 0.1 mm layer height, PLA filament, and 40% infill for the core die.
Assembly
When assembling the die, be careful. The die is not symmetrical. It has shorter and longer notches that precisely fit the outer shell pieces. Assembly requires a bit of skill and a precise, gentle application of force. However, if the parts are correctly aligned, don’t hesitate to apply some pressure. I do not recommend repeated disassembly and reassembly, as the material wears out over time, making the die less sturdy.

There are six types of paths:
- Straight corridor
- Curve
- Crossroads
- T-junction
- Crossroads with a room
- Dead end with a room

I’m looking forward to seeing your interesting two-color combinations!
