This is a way to slide your scale into a nice storage area under your knife block. The “Top” has a cut out for my knife block (Farberware 15 piece set) to drop into and not slide when I bump it. I had to take off the feet for that to work, so YMMV… The good news is that if you do not like the cutout or it doesn't work for you, just turn the block over and you have a solid section now as the top to set any knife block that fits onto it. The scale was one I picked up at Aldi during the holidays but I made it so any scale should fit. I did make it a little shallow so my scale sticks out to make it easy to grab, but I also added some finger notches to help with other scales.
