The Wentronic 51722-GB 1 x HDMI wall mount socket is pretty good for it's price but it has flaw. There are two very small screws holding the actual HDMI socket in the inner plastic part. If you are mounting the socket in a recessed electrical box you have very limited space in there. This means you really have to “fold” the cable pretty hard to get everything to fit in there.

The problem is that if you hold the plastic (inner part) and try to fold the cable a bit to “hard”, the screws very easily crack the small studs they are screwed in to (see the last picture) and that renders the whole socket usles. This can also happen if you are not carful when plugging in the HDMI-cable later on when the socket is in place.

You can use this part to strengthen / fix this. You do however get the screwheads on the front panel. But for me that's ok, at least I know that the wall socket will not break. :)

You need two M3 nuts and two 10mm M3 screws to mount the reinforcement. You can use the actual reinforcement part as a “guide” for drilling the 3mm holes in the inner plastic part.
