This is version 2 of my custom electrical wire fastener/clip.  I've added a countersink to support an additional type of screw while leaving a large flat area for the ¾" #8 lath screws I'm using.  The large flat head screws are ideal for exerting the maximum amount of pressure across a larger area.  This design moves the hole of the screw up and towards the cable slot rather than completely off to the side as I saw in most designs.  The placement of the screw hole is critical for exerting pressure against the wire given you are only using one screw off to the side.  The top of the fastener has a triangle top to add body at the pressure point to prevent bending and breaking.  In the previous version the screw hole was small enough that the screw would tension against the hole so that you could pre-load screws into the fasteners without the screws falling out.  The problem with that design is that while holding the clip your impact driver would grab the fastener and spin it quickly and forcefully potentially injuring your fingers in the process not to mention making accurate placement difficult.  In this design the screw hole is large enough so that the screw spins freely and it turns out the screw still stays in the hole even without the tension.

This version also includes a small triangle tensioner in the cable slot to help prevent the cable from pulling through allowing you to create cleaner straighter runs of wire.  Thank you for the suggestion Mauricio.  Edges have been rounded for comfort in your hand.

You can use your filament of choice and adjust the print settings for added strength.   I've included a step file so you can edit the design if desired.  Please share your design back to me if you make adjustments so I can see your ideas.

The inspiration for this clip is my disdain for nail-on style clips which are a knuckle-breaker to take out should you, or the next person that deals with your work, need to.

Please note this design only support 12/3, 12/2, 14/3 and 14/2 wire by design.  Clips for larger formats will be added later.
