Front axle, for front servo mount and rear shock an limiting strips mount.
I only saw this project after I had already printed another one, but the axles work very well and are very stable.
I filed down an aluminum plate to achieve higher rigidity, but is that even necessary?
The driveshafts are modified versions sourced from: Axle Driveshaft Assembly on GrabCAD. https://grabcad.com/library/axle-driveshaft-assembly-1
The Diff Cover and other E-Maxx components can be 3D printed or found here: Front Assembly Traxxas E-Maxx RC on GrabCAD. https://grabcad.com/library/front-assembly-traxxas-e-maxx-rc-1
For completing this build, you'll need the following:
- Traxxas Slash 4x4 Front Diff TRX6788
- E-Revo Driveshaft TRX5451X (or consider 3D printing)
- Diff Cover TRX3979 (or 3D printing option available)
- TRX4933 Hinge Balls
- TRX5334R (or opt for 3D printing)
- TRX5378X Pivot Ball Caps (alternatively 3D print)
- 12x M3 Threaded Inserts and screws
- 4x M5 Threaded Inserts
I only have assembly photos of the rear axle.
