This is a “floating” shelf intended for use with Command Strips.  It consists of an “anchor” which is attached to the wall with the Command Strips, and then the shelf slides over the anchors, hiding the anchors and the Command Strip tabs.

I'm attaching 3mf files for a 150mm wide shelf and anchor, a STEP file for you to play with if you don't have Fusion, and the actual Fusion design file.

Parameters include:

  • desiredLength – How long the shelf will be side to side
  • desiredDepth – How deep the shelf part of the shelf will be
  • desiredHeight – How tall the shelf part will be
  • desiredBackHeight – How tall the back of the shelf will be
  • desiredChampher – How much of a chamfer you want (what can I say, I can't spell)
  • adhesiveLength – How long is the adhesive on the Command Strop

There are a bunch of other parameters, most of them either should be left alone to avoid breaking the model, or are the actual measurements to use, enforcing minimums to avoid the desired parameters from breaking the model.

On the back of the shelf there are three little nubbins.  They are there because the anchors are flush with the back of the shelf and the Command Strips will stick out beyond that.  The nubbins off set this, keeping the shelf as level as possible.
