The idea and dimensions came from https://www.printables.com/model/920078-storehouse-finity-15-and-20-bin-gridfinity-based-s their documentation covers the background and basic design.
This remix was created with three differences:
- Half-width bins - making the baseplate 6x6
- Support for cullenect labels
- Optional lids
I printed using PLA, 0.6 nozzle, and 0.4 layers. The bins need more detail for the label and lid, so they're printed with variable layer height set to ‘Adaptive 0.20’ in Prusa Slicer.
Cullenect labels are only 23mm wide, which unfortunately means you can't use their standard library. I use GFLabel to generate labels with the following options.
gflabel cullenect --width=23mm --depth=0.2 --font=Overpass --font-size=4.9 --font-style=bold --margin=0.75 “label text”
Labels are printed with a 0.25 nozzle at 0.1 layer height. I add a color change for the last two layers. Per cullenect's instructions, fit can be adjusted by changing ‘elephants foot compensation’.
I have a collection of metric screw labels in ‘storehouse labels.zip’
Python script I use to generate labels: https://gist.github.com/inspector23097/a69eeb4e676ee0d642e59b12b82e3dab
