A replacement frame for the Hario Skerton Plus coffee grinder with improved shaft design for a more uniform grind. As this is a direct replacement of the original frame, no other parts are required. The center hole has a thread to allow the M8 thread of the shaft to be inserted while keeping the shaft play at minimum.
Note that the coffee beans do touch the 3D-printed part. The frame acts as a hopper for the beans, but when the beans reach the burrs, they are no longer in contact with the 3D-printed part. After the coffee is ground, it does not come in contact with the 3D-printed part.
Printing:
- Material: PETG
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Orientation: Upside down
- Supports: Support only the beginning of the center hole (see last picture)
- Print the test piece first and select the appropriate model to ensure a good fit with the inner burr shaft
Assembly instructions:
- Remove the inner burr.
- Remove the 4 screws and ring holding the outer burr in place.
- Put the outer burr to the new frame, attach the ring and loosely tighten the 4 screws.
- Insert the inner burr to the new frame by threading it trough the center hole.
- Securely tighten the inner burr using the grind setting nut so that it centers the loosely fastened outer burr.
- Tighten the screws to lock the outer burr in place.
- Loosen the inner burr to your desired grind setting.
